John RennisonCEO

I have been the CEO of 1st Homecare since 2012. After over 30 years in various different business settings I believe that the consistent themes in any successful business are the delivery of a first class service to clients and a fair and consistent approach to recruiting and retaining the best staff and this is what I try to bring to 1st Homecare. I live near Aylesbury with my wife Annabella and our two young children.

Annabella RennisonTraining and Compliance Director

I qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and have worked in London as an employment lawyer at an international law firm and in London and Moscow as an in-house lawyer with a major oil company. My current responsibilities include Training, Compliance and HR.

Lesley BignoldGroup Compliance Lead

I have worked in the care world for the past 25 years and was manager of the Kings Langley branch since 1st Homecare took it over from Ainsworth Care.  I accepted a newly created role as Group Compliance Lead in spring 2023, and I now work across the whole of the 1st Homecare Group helping to ensure the quality of our care recording and reporting and our compliance with standards, guidelines and legislation.

Sinéad BrooksLive-In Care Manager

I joined 1st Homecare in the summer of 2023 after a successful career as Care Assessment Manager at a large London Live-In care provider. I have many years of experience working in the social care sector and was awarded ‘Care Assessor of the Year’ at the prestigious Great British Care Awards.  I now manage the Live-In Care Team ensuring clients are cared for to the highest standards.

Emma BatchelorBranch Manager, Leighton Buzzard

I joined 1st Homecare in 2018 as a full time care assistant, I then progressed to become a Senior Carer. After a while I became the Care Co-ordinator until recently when I became the Branch manager. I have enjoyed progressing through the company .

Michelle BrownBranch Manager, Oxford

I started with the company in 2010 as Assistant Co-Ordinator and have since covered all other office-based roles, as well as care duties and on call duties. I have two young boys who take up much of my spare time, although I somehow find time to play football at my local club too.

Helen BackhouseBranch Manager, Kings Langley

I joined the company back in 1997 making me one of the longest serving 1st Homecare employees. I took time out to raise my children and rejoined in 2009, as I loved being part of the team. After various positions within the company I was promoted to Deputy Manager before recently being made Branch Manager at Kings Langley.
