Live -in Care

  • We employ specially trained and experienced carers who are able to undertake live in care assignments for clients who require 24-hour support.
  • Assignments can last from one week to long term based on the client’s needs. The Registered manager carries out an assessment of the client’s needs before identifying a suitable carer or carers to provide round the clock support.
  • Further carers can be identified to cover the daily 3-hour break for the live in carer, if the client cannot be left on their own or family/friends are not able to cover the rest periods.
  • The live in carer will provide 24-hour support for the client and ensure that the client’s needs are met at all times.

Nursing Care

  • We are able to provide a range of nursing services to clients at home or in other locations. Our nurse manager ensures that a thorough assessment of the client’s needs is carried out before confirming the competences of the nurses to work in a specific environment.
  • Where necessary, additional training can be provided to meet specialist needs. Nurses are only placed within their area of expertise.
  • Our nurses are qualified to a high level and all have experience of working in the NHS and with private clients.

"

I am contacting you on behalf of my mother to say thank you to your staff who came out this morning to get her medication and breakfast following the difficulties her care staff had experienced in accessing the key to her flat. This flexible response to need is very much appreciated. My mother had a difficult few days when she was discharged from the nursing home until a care package could be secured. However, since your team have taken over I can see a marked improvement in her progress and, most importantly, she is very happy with the support they are providing. Given that I live at some distance from my mother the knowledge that she has such good support is very reassuring.

"Thank you for the care and support provided for my mother on her discharge from hospital. It enabled her to have a few weeks at home which is what she wanted. Both my Mum and I were very grateful for the flexibility of your service and the willingness to go the extra mile. During some of my visits I had the opportunity to observe the care provided and was impressed by the professional attitude of the carers and by their attention to dignity, respect and compassion. With so many negative aspects of care hitting the headlines it is reassuring to witness good, personalised care."
"It was his dearest wish to be able to stay at home, and your care team made it possible. Thank you for helping him keep his dignity to the end; he was a very proud man."
"To everyone at 1st Homecare (Oxford)- to the immensely kind and helpful staff in your office, and to your wonderful carers- I would like to thank you from my heart for everything you did for my sister C. You all helped her so much, particularly at the end of her life and made her feel safe and happy. I am so grateful to you, and C really loved her 1st Homecare  carers."
"C and I and all the family would like to thank you for your all your help and the excellent care you provided to C over the past year. The carers are truly wonderful people and showed enormous kindness and friendship to C, and also to ourselves. C and we became very attached to them and we thank them warmly and wish all of them and you all the very best for the future. It was also so helpful that they were able to be with C when she was in hospital over that last month and a great comfort for her to have friendly and familiar faces at her bedside all the time. Thank you."
