What to expect
Each month you’ll find a friendly welcome, plenty of refreshments and an opportunity to chat and connect with others in the local community.
No two Community Cafés are quite the same! We like to mix things up, with activities and entertainment varying from month to month.
You might find live entertainment, quizzes, bingo and other fun activities, and we’ll also be introducing a raffle.
We also welcome local organisations, community groups and professionals from time to time, giving visitors an opportunity to find out more about useful services, activities and support available locally.
Whether you’d like to meet new people, enjoy some entertainment, join in with a quiz or game, or simply have a cup of tea and a slice of cake in good company, we’d love to see you.

Everyone is welcome
You don’t need to be a 1st Homecare client to attend our Community Café.
The café is open to the wider Oxford community, including older people, friends, relatives and unpaid carers. You’re very welcome to come along on your own or bring someone with you.
Our aim is simply to provide a friendly and welcoming place where people can spend time together, make new connections and enjoy being part of their local community.
Connecting with our local community
Our Community Café is also an opportunity to bring together people and organisations working across Oxford and Oxfordshire.
Since launching the café, we’ve been delighted to welcome and connect with local community representatives, health and wellbeing professionals and organisations supporting older people across the area.
If you represent a local organisation, community group or service and would be interested in joining us at a future Community Café, we’d love to hear from you.
